Everyone make it home OK?

The Canalissimo is certainly a lovely little event, very nicely located. A bit quiet from 16.00 - 18.00, but I suppose it gets much wilder later in the evening.

I got a later start on my bike ride along the canal to Bamberg from Erlangen and ran out of fuel by about Hirschaid, so I stopped in at Kraus. It'd been quite a while since I'd had a good example of their Lager, and it was quite decent and quaffable. (Normally though, I have the Lager at the Haschääda Keller, where it's bayerisch Anstich, so maybe that's the problem.) Then I was too full of onion-y Obazda to pedal the remaining 12 km, so I took the train the rest of the way.

The U at Spezial was in fine, fine form. Beer of the day for me. The new Metzgerbräu seems sweeter than the fine stuff we had a couple of summers ago in Bad Staffelstein, when it was still brewed in the sausage kettle.

Nice to see Sgt. Scott again, too. (May be off by a rank or two there.)

Hope B&J made it home safe & sound!
