Hello Rick,

Mark has written some recommendations which I share.

Chris Bettini from the Beer Corner USA has organised many beer tours also in the region Bamberg with an own tour bus (around 30 to 35 guests). Maybe it's interesting to talk with him.

Your group is so big that it's necessary to make reservations especially for the food.
In Merkendorf it can be useful to share the group and visit with the one half at first Hummel and with the other Wagner and then change (only some minutes to walk).

I recommend the Gänstaller-Bräu in Schnaid (before the Kreuzberg). Andy Gänstaller He has not so much seats, but it should possible to taste some of his beers from the storage tanks. Please send me Your mail adress at schoolmann@abseits.de and I can send You his phone number. Andy is - I say - one of the best German brewers. He has 4 beers under the top 50 German beers. For me is on the same level as Ayinger, Schnedier, Schlenkerla, Weihenstephan and he works only with his daughter as an apprentice.

The Weyermann tours have a limit of around 20 guests, because the group walk in technical buildings. So You need maybe to share in two visits.

If You have brewers it can be useful to ask for a brewmaster as guide if they want to discuss special questions about brewing.
contact Andrea Kundler (andrea.kundler@weyermann.de).
Part of the Weyermann tour is a visit at the Weyermann Braumanufaktur on the premises with a small beer tasting. If You want to taste more Weyermann beers You can taste some bottles at the Café Abseits.

The Café Abseits can host such a group without problems in the summer (our beergarden is bigger than the pub) In the winter we are at the limit (because we have also some other regular guests). So reservation is
indispensable. I can write a special beer menue with recommendations without the beers that you have already tasted elsewhere and with an english description. If You have special beer interests, tell me about.

If You visit Wagner in Kemmern I recommend also the Brauhaus Binkert in Breitengüßbach, if You can meet Jörg Binkert. He has a fulltime job at the Kaspar Schulz enterprise (brewery installments) as the chef of the department for research and development. The Brauhaus Binkert was founded 2012 and has a production of 2000 hl per year, 30% are lab or experimental brews for others (Maisel & Friends, Schanzenbräu, Ratsherren in Hamburg, Kühn Kunz Rosen in Mainz etc.). His own brand "MainSeidla" has some interestings beers, p.e.. a porter, a pale ale (Amber Spezial), a pils ("Original"), a Kellerbier, the unfiltered version of his pils, a wheat beer.
