| Sorry Jan, no understand - didn't I say 'The 'stiftische Brauen' being those who paid 'ein stift' to the local lord.' In this, I would include clerical institutions that have the same type of power. Kloster Waldsassen is well in the picture but it is difficult to sort out the detail, much more research needed. Would be helped by the occasional Zoigl! |
