As mentioned, the beers were fresh from the brewery, both from tap and bottle. I got apples, yes, but not acetaldehyde. Specifically, baked apples rather than green apples, which is an effect that results from a high level of sugars and esters (and sometimes exacerbated by poorly extracted malt).  Glad you enjoyed yours, though!
