Barry, too bad about that place. Location is perfect, though.
DonS, curiously I have not seen this til now. It's a possibility for sure.

I have found 2 -wow, just two, Fewos, both within 10 - 15min walk to the centre. I bookmarked it on my other laptop, will post the URLs next time. My partner is sold on Miltenberg and  Forchheim but we have not agreed on the third town after Forchheim. Want to skip Nürnberg this time.

I shall browse the pub guide on this site for suggestions within Franken.
