Even worse while I love my home city of Boston it doesn't even deserve to be on that list let alone in the #6 spot.  Ahead of Bamberg!!!  Not even close.  It's not even the best beer city in New England.  I'd put Portland, Maine and Burlington, VT ahead of it.  Hell I'd put the small town of Waterbury, VT ahead of it.

Regarding Portland, OR.  While there are plenty of other great beer destinations in the US these days with the massive brewery explosion we've had (for example Denver is up to 50 now), I'd still put Portland, OR at the top of the list as America's premier beer destination.  Not the only destination but if you had to choose only one I'd say go to Portland.

Disclaimer:  I've not yet been to Portland but I just can't imagine that with something like 85 breweries these days and numerous beer bars and it's place in the history of America's microbrewing explosion that somewhere else would top it on the list or even be considered it's equal.
