Was visiting the nice micro "Homburger Bräuscheuere" yesterday. Very good food, nice interior with a lot of antique brewery collectibles. Three beers on tap: Hefeweizen, Dunkles and Stöffle (Helles Vollbier). Didn't try the Weizen but both of the bottom fermented ones. Stöffle: Low in carbonic acid, a little buttery, very malty, significant lack of hops. Dark beer: Dito. A wee bit spicier and even maltier. The beers would be much much nicer with more hops, I'm sure. |
