| It was great. Possibly the best the Fastenbier's ever been, at least since I've been going for it, and it apparently hasn't been around much longer than that. Dry yet malty, not the sweetish mess it's been sometimes in recent years. Was great to see Gunnar & Mrs, as well as the new guy. Jason, I think he's called. Oddly, we had horrible service but an absolutely charming, smiling, apologetic, lovely server in the Bamberger Zimmer. Normally, service is horrible and the servers are also horrible. Something had happened though, and it was just the one lady working the entire Klausur and Bamberger Zimmer at lunchtime, with the male staff members grudgingly "helping" out to avert absolute catastrophy. Follow-up Lager at Fässla was undrinkable cack though: sour, flat, and just, WTF? Didn't have much time there before the train though, so the 2.60€ lost on it was not a huge deal. |
