"Breakfast stout" has apparently been a thing for a while now, I assume it started with maple syrup, Rauchmalz, and coffee being used in an imperial stout to suggest an American breakfast (pancakes w syrup, bacon, coffee), along with a hyper-strong recipe (18% abv?) for irony about it being good for breakfast. But I'm no expert, just a guess. |
