| Yeah the journey from Boston isn't so bad. About a 7+ hour direct flight to Frankfurt or Munich and 2-3 hour train ride and you're in Bamberg. I don't envy Fred though with that extra 5-6 hour cross USA flight from LA. This next trip I'm flying into Munich instead of Frankfurt. I prefer Frankfurt on arrival for getting to Bamberg but Munich has go a later flight going home whereas Frankfurt would be a 10-11 AM flight. Munich is around 3pm. For me it is much preferable to have the late afternoon flight since it allows me to enjoy my last day more and I can sleep later on the day I go home. I'm staying in Regensburg the night before (never been to Regensburg before) since it's an easy train ride to Freising with a shuttle bus over to the airport. |
