I honestly can't recall a time where I've been put off by a British cask beer because it's been butterscotchy. There have been plenty of times when a cask has gone off or been too green, or when a beer has exhibited other brewing flaws, but that's different. What kills me are the people who say Pilsner Urquell has been getting more and more buttery over the years. No, if anything, it's been getting cleaner. |
