Thanks Nick for reinforcing my prejudices! Sounds more like the jolly old UK than peaceful Franken.  Have never understood why I should want to attend a licensed funfair, drinking beer out of an oversized glass at exhorbitant prices (by Franken standards). Would never want to do this in UK, so why should I in Germany?
