Yep, October. Dunno why it's so unbelievable that I haven't been to $RANDOM_FRANCONIAN_BRAUGASTHAUS; there's still something like 280 of them, after all. Even one as close to Bamberg, as, say, Zur Sonne (which looks like a potential base, given the reasonable room prices). Why October? Hint: Rheinland. 17th. Fred knows this one rather well.
