He's got a point: If I'd joined the words with an "r" instead of an "n", it'd translate literally to "lawnmower beer" instead of "lawnmowing beer". My mistake. Point is still the same: It's funny that we have a term for it and they don't. My buddy the Deutsch teacher here once reacted the same way as your Kollege: he wanted to write a whole sentence instead of adopting the new word.
