| I heartily agree with the recommendation for Eckerts. As far as portion size goes, just order a Flammkuche. More that enough for one! Quality of food on offer is very good. But if you're looking for old-time Gemütlichkeit, like you'll find in the Stube at Mahr's or Schlenkerla, that's not what you'll get at Eckerts. The interior there is spacious and modern, rather upmarket, but a table with a view of the river is worth booking. There's also good food to be had at Klosterbräu's Stube, which is a _very_ short walk from Eckerts. |
