| Not really a Pils, but IMHO by far the best Kellerbier You can get: Witzgall Landbier (at the brewpub itself only available in bottles, at the Witzgall Keller on draught); a superbly hopped brew (the noble variety Spalter Select is used), extremely smooth and devilishly moreish. Worth a journey (and not far from Hallerndorf)! In the village of Buttenheim both brewers offer excellent examples of the Pilsner style, especially Löwenbräu is flowery! Bottles only… |
