Franconian Beer in London

A couple of new breweries up in Greater Manchester, as in, a year or so old. London was ridiculous. The festival *way* too crowded, a couple or three UNDRINKABLY bad beers (guess I'd been lucky with CAMRA fests in the past), and the un-cooled barrels were already 15 - 16° on the first of three or four days of the fest. I did meet and chat with the Mayor of Camden Town, a funny little Italian chap. Our mate Ian has a photo of the illustious event.

Then to two pubs by tube, very expensive, too much "craft" beer. Of course one was the "Craft Beer Co" pub, so I guess I should've expected it. It was still a fun time seeing the variety, just, most of it wasn't for me. A hugely-hyped 33cl can of IPA brewed with blood orange juice cost 4 quid, but I had to try it. (Beavertown) Not really orange flavour at all, just that usual onion-y "savoury" thing of post-post-post modern hops.

No need to bother with the smoke again, for a long time anyway.

(Did just have a pint of the Pride at a lovely old pub in Ramsgate though!)
