OT: craft breweries in Ireland

Be careful with defining it! There are "craft" brewers in the UK producing proper cask beer. There is an Oxford English Dictionary definition somewhere, FWIW. Something like "beer with a particular character".

Anyway. Contrast the Irish figures with Oregon's: 22% of all beer consumed in Oregon is brewed in the state, and all the breweries in the state are some sort of brewpub, microbrewery, or microbrewery-grown-large. There are a couple that have been bought up by the gigamacroglobalbreweries, but the fact is, none of it is the Budweiser-Coors-Miller sort of sex-in-a-canoe American beer of the 70's. Something like 4 million people in the state, maybe 3 million.

I don't really have a point other than, watch out, Guinness! (?)
