Schlenkerla too 'touristy?'

I didn't think so, but we were there in February 2001, with few tourists in town, two nights in a row. We did meet other Americans one night. It is like Brugs Biertje in Bruges. It is in a convenient location, a great attraction for a local specialty, and thereby gets mentioned in guidebooks. So it gets more tourists than Spezial or Mahr, but I wouldn't avoid it for that reason. Mike
