| To give you an idea, a return Ticket Bamberg - Nuremberg with RE or RB trains currently costs 21,20, while a Bayern-ticket single would set you back 19 if bought at a vending machine or via the internet, 21 if bought over the counter. Another example: a return B. - Forchheim costs 9,60 while a Bayern-ticket costs 27, so if you are in a group of three .... By looking up connections on www.bahn.de you can immediately see how much the ticket is going to cost, for all connections inside Germany, and for quite a few international ones as well. If you are coming to Germany a few times a year and travel around a bit by train, it may be useful to get yourself a Bahncard 25, which gives you a discount of 25 % on almost all single and return tickets, it currently costs 55 for second class for one year. |
