When I wrote “crisp” I was referring mainly to the combination of carbonation and slight acidic twang that I associate with pilsners and lagers. I’m sure there’s a better word but that’s the one that I frequently use to describe the sensation in my mouth and taste to my pallet of beers that I don’t enjoy. Acidic is probably not the correct term either. Perhaps bite or sharp flavor felt at the back of my tongue would be better.
