| If you go back to the site and click on "BB-Übersichtskarte" (overview map), you can see towns that offer some kind of citizen bus service. There are several in Franconia between Bamberg and Bayreuth and two just north of Bamberg. However, as you discovered, the map is not complete. I also found another (unlisted) one here: http://www.kitzingen.info/anrufsammeltaxi.0.html The Kitzingen service is very attractively priced: a bus ticket plus a "comfort surcharge" of 70 Eurocents. Barry, I suspect that your best chance of finding an English speaker would be at the local train station. Since many of these citizen buses travel to and from the station, perhaps they could make the call and reserve the service for you. Worth trying, I would say. |
