Cask Ales in Ireland

Over on a website where people assign r8ings to beer, I've seen it argued that CAMRA-approved real ale is also "filtered", albeit chemically, not mechanically, through the use of finings or other additives. As a member, I do see CAMRA's stance (fining == GOOD) as rather arbitrary. And yes, pasteurisation is exceptionally rare among the modern-day non-industrial-cack-adjunct-lager breweries in the US, what the misguided kids are calling "craft breweries" these days. Not at all the norm; I know of only one non-industrial-cack-adjunct-lager brewery that pasteurises off the top of my head, and that's Anchor, the grandfather of all the modern-day Yankobreweries. But that might change (or have already?) with Mr. Maytag's retirement...?
