In artful phrasing on my part -- you wouldn't call the U or Märzen a Rauchbier even if there is some rauchmalz in the grain bill (very little in the U because it is so pale, more could be hidden in the Märzen). My point was more they have ramped up production of the other beers because they can't ramp up production of the Lager with out major changes. Their germination vessel would fit in a large (US) closet.
