Auf dem Keller!

You lucky devil - have a couple for us!  Is Roppelt's open?

Das Internet ist dein Freund. Familie Roppelt seem to take about a month off in late winter.

Had only one Schlottfegerla and then a Frühlingsfestbier, which was interesting, if not all that great. Think "Hefeweizen" but with fruity Trappist notes in place of typical bubblegum/cloves, plus extra strong. And those two were enough, as Mrs was drinking fruit Schorle, as she was driving.

Yes, it was highly, highly unusual for us, to drive the *car* to a drinking place, but then it was a spur-of-the-moment decision to go there. We parked at Roppelt's and walked up, then walked the long way round back down in the sun. It was so warm and calm (no wind!), I did something I hadn't done in probably 20 years: I took my shirt off outside. There was me, strolling along the bridle path from Hallerndorf to Stiebie, shirtless. (Only until we saw people approaching, mind you...of course, they were bundled up as if it were below freezing.)

And now with that mental image, I will end this post.
