| Had a bottle of Leinburger Goldmärzen recently, something new at the Kitzmann Braukontor bottle shop. Quite likable, if not as malty as a Märzen of 5.5% should be. And yes, golden. The idea of a golden Märzen is somewhat new and odd to me, coming from my "stylisto" background as a Yank homebrewer. And now I realise, the lovely, tasty, strong-ish Kommunbrauhaus beer in Neuhaus an der Pegnitz, is of the same ilk. A golden Märzen. Guess I'm just behind the times. |
