B&J in Franken: Report 4

Speck also has English relations in terms of "fat". Rich people tended to be fatter back in past times. "Fat times" are times of plenty. German slang for putting on or taking off weight is also "zuspecken/abspecken". So it's all mixed with "fat", not just bacon.

The Florida sun is an unforgiving wench. And the beer...Fred's Tap42 is a fine place, but brace yourselves...$7-$9 a US pint. Who broke the country whilst I was gone?
