So you did make it there! Guess I missed that bit of your report, buried in a big paragraph. And posted whilst I was away overseas.

What did you make of das Lokal there? A bit sterile and large inside, maybe, but nicely situated.

I found their beers bitter, yes, but the most bitter in Franken? Have to think about that. (Need more late-kettle hops though!)
