| Well, perhaps I should have said "MY favorite hops...". After all, Stryians are probably my all-time favorite, and them ain't grown in Bavaria. Of course EKGs are the shiznit, too. Many good ones indeed, although to me there is nothing like an aggressively-Spalt-Select-hopped lager, when done elegantly. At ANY rate, Bavarian brewers oughtn't fear pushing the envelope with their glorious hops, just as long as they don't follow the Americans and our brutish hop monstrosities (resin and grapefruit = nein danke). More does not always equal better! |
