| Yes, important. I've just looked at the schedule for Windisch and Neuhaus and see that 'open day' is actually on a Friday this year (October 3) - it's normally on a Wednesday. However, Beim Gloser is open on October 2, a Thursday, presumably, to take advantage - Martin is a clever businessman! I should say also that it is worth checking on both kommunbrauhaus as both are welcoming for visitors when brewing. In Neuhaus, they make a real day of it, with a barrel of Zoigl for visitors (a small donation is appreciated!) - I've written about this previously. Eschawo is more informal but the brewers are very friendly and you have the advantage of speaking good German! Actually, I would strongly suggest that you try to make your visit at a weekend (at least friday or Monday) - while 'spoil the ship for a hap'orth of tar'. Try translating that, Nick! |
