Joe's writing for an American audience, ergo dollar-equivalent pricing (and still shows that the price of a pint-equivalent of Zoigl is absurdly reasonable). Joe's beer writing in the past has focused a lot of Belgium - in fact, he's the co-author of the newest upcoming edition of the GBG Belgium, with Tim Webb. You'll notice he accidetnally used the Dutch/Flemish word for coolship in the artcle becaue he was also working on other text about Belgium at about the same time. I know the feeling.
