OT: World Cup

Afraid that very few (any but Joe?) are good enough for City, John.  England could get out of this group as Uruguay quite poor and we don't know if Suarz is fit.  Costa Rica still unknown factor.  Said to J. while watching several of the matches that the top 3 Premier league clubs (maybe more?) would beat most of the teams playing in Brazil.  I'm amazed at the number of players appearing in the tournament who were rejected by Premier league clubs.  Felipe Caicedo playing for Ecuador, amazing!

Beer interest: had a bottle of Amplethorpe Trappist - ok but very sweet, then I noticed that the label says brewed with cane sugar!  Why?  Then a bottle of Fullers London Porter - excellent rounded beer, love to taste it cask conditioned.  Re PET bottle discussion: I opened a 2 L bottle of my homebrew 2 weeks ago and only finished half of it.  Squeezed the bottle to get rid of as much air as possible and then forgot it.  Opened it 2 nights ago, lost a lot of its fizz but still quite tasty.  Victory for PET or Taylor's Homebrew?

Hope that German channels showing the final as we'll be in Eschawo on July 13!
