Just, please, whatever you do, do not infect Europe with the god-awful foulness that is resin and grapefruit, which are the two most common things that plague far too many of our hoppy beers here in the US.  :-)  For one, although these characterstics may seem novel to an outsider, these flavors are plain silly, boring and brutish, and just aren't conducive to something sessionable.  Ick.  IMHO, multidimensionality derived from simplicty is what the US needs more of -- vibrant spices and flowers and herbs and oils and succulent elegance is where it's at, ala Ganstaller-Brau.  Europe has some beautiful hops, and if used artfully when pushing the hop envelope, the result is often  exquisite and certainly something the beers (most) in America sorely lacks.
