New "C-word" Bottleshop in Bamberg?
Posted by Nick B. on 2014-06-20 23:43:15
The word in the twittosphere is that someone wants to open a non-traditional beer shop in Bamberg. This news has resulted in the typical knee-jerk wailing, moaning, gnashing of teeth and rending of garments among those who think Germany should remain preserved for tourism, regardless of what the 80+ million inhabitants might want.

Hell, maybe *I'll* open another one, just to spite them. Dry-hopped imperial maple coffee Lichtenhainer, anyone?

But on a more serious note, now that a couple of (or a few) years have passed since breweries started to experiment with things like pale ale or IPA, has anyone noticed any deterioration in the quality of the Bierkultur they've experienced on visits in the interim? Has it turned out so bad as you'd (figurative) feared?
