| The beers at Knoblach merely "fine" ;-) The exquisite hoppiness of Knoblach Ungspunds Lagerbier and Dunkler Landbier simply cannot be overstated. Hallertau BOMBS, those two! Now, I can't say I was overly impressed with the Marzen and Bockbier, which were decent enough, but any brewery that offers not one but TWO squeaky clean lagers with such assertive and refined hoppiness, is A-Okay in my book. Just wish I could find more American breweries who knew how to use hops aggressively yet so elegantly, like Michael at Knoblach so adeptly does. Looking forward to revisiting them soon and enjoying a lengthy session! |
