| Those channels seem tobe higher quality than many of the others but they still carry an awful lot of 'popular' programmes. I really like those Sunday programmes where they go to an outdoor festival in some town or other, with music provided by old-fashioned sort of pop singers or bands, and everyone joins in. They remind me of the innumerable town festivals, which attract big crowds but nothing much happens. Seems that the Germans exceed even the Irish for gathering in large groups and doing much other than meet each other. The one great thing about them is that there is no threat of violence breaking out, specially after a lot of drink is taken, which is more than you can say for their UK counterparts. |
