| Massive thunderstorms over critical bits of Franken at the moment, critical being where you lot might be, and of course where Mrs & I are. We rode down to the little organic fest at Nürnberger Altstadt, mostly because I saw in the paper that there would be some brand new "Franken-Sider", meaning cider. Lo and behold, it was there, but at 9.5% ABV, I didn't bother with it, being hot, clammy, and sunny. Clouds surrounded us as we enjoyed our veggie Döner(s) (not bad at all, bread was way too dry though--WTF?) with the lovely Polaris Green Monkey Pils from Weißenohe, and a quick look at the radar webbie suggested we'd better head back home, we might luck out and pass between rain cells. Got rained on along the way, but not too badly. And now that we're home, it's chucking it down. We COULD have taken the U-Bahn and choo-choo back to Erlangen and stayed dry, but it would've been miserably stuffy and stinky in there. And not nearly as rewarding. Much better than a day to Uehlfeld and back. |
