| "By the tunnel" in Nürnberg...I would suspect it's just a bar called "Nikl", with no connection to Pretzfeld. The brewerie's webbie shows where you can find their beer on tap, and while there are a number of places in Nürnberg, there's no "Nikl". Nice to hear it wasn't too crowded on Friday. I don't think I'll make it until Thursday or Friday, the latter is when a busload of Cornhuskers will descend upon the place. Or maybe this afternoon. Brauwastl, FWIW, is not a brewery, but a group of four or more hobby brewers who have Neder brew their Festbier recipe for the Annafest. They took over the Keller where Weißenohe used to be 3 years ago. Better than the Neder Annafestbier, it is. Also, next time, be sure to have the Eichhorn way up at Blümlein's Keller, where it's lagered for significantly longer than at the regular Eichhorn Keller. A beautifully mild, smooth Festbier. And have him show you round inside. |
