Nick: Erlangen -> Bamberg canal bicycle path ?

Hi Nick - or possibly others ?

on weekend 7-9.8. I plan to do trip on my bike. What is the status of bicycle path next to the canal, is it there on whole route, or are there just some parts ? 

I plan to go from Erlangen to Hallerndorf (and from Hallerndorf to Bamberg on the next day).
