Huh. Really not that impressed with the Gänstaller Mandarina, just a bit too sweet. Too strong, actually.

It's been a few years since I've ventured to Mönchsambach for the Lager vom bayerischen Anstich gravity barrel, but a comparison to Griess Kellerbier? Nö, I wouldn't think so, Griess is much hoppier and funkier, Mönchi is cleaner. Can't drink if from kegs any more, sorry Gerhard. But OK, I'm overdue for a return visit. (Do remember us cyclists when youse are tooling around by car tanked up on jetlag med's and Kellerbier, please!)

Be advised that Griess in the tavern is from a tank (presumably the 1000L key-keg variety a la Stiebarlimbach, IOW without CO2) through a fake barrel, whereas at the Keller, it's sometimes from a barrel, sometimes from a bag-tank.
