| Forgot to mention: One day, there was a message on my voicemail from Herr X at the Nürnberger customs office. "1.032 OG -- what sort of beer is that then, a low-alcohol beer or what? Please call me back." Okay, he was wondering if I'd made a decimal point error or summat in my declaration of intent to brew, but was also genuinely interested in why I'd brew beer so weak. "Schankbier mit Geschmack!" He was amiable enough, and encouraged me to call back with any questions about beer taxation. So, our tax Euros at work. Guess Herr X had a busy day at his desk that day. |
