Cost of brewing in kommunbrauerei

The German beer tax for 1 hl is 0,787 Euro je Grad Plato.

This is the tax for a brewery enterprise with more than 200.000 hl per year (which can have some breweries in the technical view)

Smaller breweries get a discount: They have to pay only a share of the tax:
" 1. auf 84,0 Prozent bei einer Jahreserzeugung von 40 000 hl,
2.
auf 78,4 Prozent bei einer Jahreserzeugung von 20 000 hl,
3.
auf 67,2 Prozent bei einer Jahreserzeugung von 10 000 hl,
4.
auf 56,0 Prozent bei einer Jahreserzeugung von 5 000 hl."

The higher rate is to pay for the beer volume over the limits.
So if you brew 8.000 hl per year, you have to pay 56% of the tax for the first 5.000 hl and 67,2% for the next 3.000 hl.

And there are some special rules, if a brewery brew beers for others and other special cases.
