There is a beer in the midwest called Old Style which is made in Lacrosse Wisconsin and their claim to fame is that all their beer is fully "krausen" or krausned in the american version of the word. Grew up drinking this beer, it is just okay but the method is used in the states, by at least one big time brewery.
