First prize!  Yes, Sloane Square was the one and on the west-bound platform.  I'm not sure when it closed permanently because it never featured in our perambulations.  I don't recall that Liverpool St had a bar but it's quite a big station from my memory, so it could well have done so.  Tim worked at St Mary's Hospital in Paddington and devised a lot of these crawls for the young medics, many of which were based in the City.

I note from Jezza's guide that Ye Olde Mitre is now a Fuller's house.  I don't recall which beer it sold in my days - maybe Ind Coope?  Sadly, the early 1970s was a pretty appalling time for real ale in London, with mostly Charringtons, Ind Coope and the dreaded Watney's - anyone recall Starlight?  When I lived in west London, things were much better, with access to Fuller's and the late lamented Young's of Wandsworth.
