| I think that we should say thank you to Gerhard for being so honest about his pricing; I doubt whether many or any other pub/bar/stube would explain their method so openly and clearly. Personally, I'm not sure that I understand why Andi (or Weyermann or anyone else) make these strange brews; is there a demand for such from the Swedish/Italian/whatever beer markets? Is this simply aping US-developments? I receive the weekly notifications from Ratebeer and am continually astonished at the weird and wonderful concoctions dreamed up by contemporary micro's. If I drink beer, I want it to taste like beer not whiskey/rum/wine/herbs/spices etc., just a mixture of barley and hops enlivened by yeast, which can provide enough varieties of taste for most lifetimes. Oh well, moan for the day over, back to my new translating chore: 'DerZoigl: Bierkult aus der Oberpfalz'! |
