| Hey, regarding Frauendorf and Hintergereuth, that was just a feeling of mine. Both breweries don´t have something "special" that the small breweries need in our time. 5 pubs in the district, 5 markets that sell the beers and a truck that sells the beer 10 kilometers around is just a bit less?! The beers don´t have a big name recognition (like Krug), don´t taste excellent, the breweries itselfs aren´t destionations four (beer) excursions, they are comparatively big and therefore have to sell a certain amount of beer,... You are right that the pub in Hintergereuth is open. But it seemed as it was also managed from the grandma (like in Nankendorf) without meals. I like such places, too, but I think such strategies aren´t the best condition for the future... Spielbach: I knowed that I will be repruved because of my opinion "average" ;) The fact that they produce their own malt I have heard. The estate and the mood there is a dream, of course. But only the taste of beer, I found, I missed that something special... Danny |
