| Sounds good to me! Your plan, that is. I'm sure I'm not the only one here excited for you. Me, I escaped my native Minnesconsin at 28 for the blessed lands in the west, Oregon. And then I was nearly 40 when we moved to Franken. Big moves like that have been good for us, hopefully for you too. The going rate for 1/1 lessons on a private basis, that is a teacher doing it on their own, not paying through a school, is probably 20 - 30€ for 60 minutes, without a receipt, so no tax write-off. At least it was when I was doing it after finishing my intensive course a decade ago. Doubt it's gone up much since then. Learning *here*, when you're out and about in the language constantly, will likely be much more effective for you. Outside of Bamberg, especially, with Bamberg being so heavily tourist/English-speaking oriented. |
