Just my little cent to add. Beer that I produce is usually tap from KEGs. However, sometimes we do some "special stuff" for known pubs and then we are using classic BA. Beer is always in the same lagering tank, sometimes simply put into KEG, sometimes into BA. The procedure is the same (as we use these "combi" BA, that have both possibilities to use as BA or as standard KEG). 

Usually we do not have any issues with over-carbonation when pressuring at pub with CO2, as the KEG is usually empty in 2 or 3 hours. However there was still quite noticeable difference in BA (that's why we are doing it, :-) ). 

By the way, price in pub is the same. 
It is not lager, it is American Pale Ale.
