| Dobry den Mosquit and all others, concerning Winkler, Melkendorf: Surely, the cement house is one of the ugliest pubs in the whole area. I have been there two times. The beer iin the pub from barrel was average. They also have beer from bottles. The bottles are the very old flip-top-bottles. Only inhabitants of the village can buy them (I think they worry about people whe don´t bring the old bottles back to brewery). We asked two times for a bottled beer for our walking trips We were able to persuade the chief to sell us some bottles. The beer from bottles was very very great caramel beer you find nowhere else. I don´t know if they have to sorts or if the beer from bottles was from another sud as the beer from barrel. When you have the chance try to get such a beer from bottle and tell us how it tasted. Has anybody else had the experience of the supposed two different beers in Melkendorf? Lohndorf: I love the place forever. Heiner, the chief, is an "original", I like him. Everey beer I get there (barrel or bottle) was great. I think/hope the diacetyl beer was only temporarely. The Schnitzel are the best you can get in the area. Na shled! Danny |
