| "Metallic" is a new one on me. The beer can tend toward the phenolic/smokey at times, or has in the past anyway -- I haven't noticed that in the last couple of years. The big problem at the Keller was that they would put the barrel on from the day before, so it was flat (Barry!) and going un-fresh. I've visited the brewery only a few times though. Always to the Keller! AFA this weekend goes, we might be there. We are currently in the Allgäu on a bit of a holiday until Saturday, but we might leave Thu or Fri, because the weather is so wet & cold. (And the beer is largely cack.) So, we'll keep in touch on here til then. |
